Important Update

Texas Health and Human Services contacted our program on Monday, February 2, 2026 to inform us that in their opinion we are not in compliance with child care licensing requirements. As a Mothers Day Out program with limited hours, we believe we are not operating a full-time childcare center. We are actively working with the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and Texas Health and Human Services to resolve this matter. At this time, Texas Health and Human Services is requiring that we change our hours of operation, or close down entirely. Our new hours and day of operation are listed below. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these unexpected changes.

Immediate Change to Hours and Days of Operation – Effective Immediately

Effective immediately, St. Angela’s Angels Mother’s Day Out will operate on the following days and times:

· Tuesday & Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

· No PlayHour is available at this time.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we transition to this updated schedule.

· Timeline – According to Health and Human Services, Child Care Regulation (CCR): HHS staff notify applicants of their licensing status within 21 days (or 10 days for compliance certificates) of receiving the application.

We are not currently licensed by Texas Health and Human Services. We began the process of applying for a license on 2/10/26.
